About
Scientific Data Acquisition and Compression Module (SDAC), part of the PRISMA Payload Main Electronics Unit, funded by the Italian Space Agency (ASI). PRISMA has been operating since 22 March 2019 at 615 km, providing hyperspectral imaging from 400-2500 nm. The module has nominal and redundant boards, with configurable lossless/near-lossless compression applying CCSDS and Reed-Solomon encoding.
