About Tsd-space
Techno System Developments S.r.l. (TSD-Space) is an Italian space technology company founded in 1977 in Pozzuoli, near Naples, that started out in applied research in aerodynamics, fluidynamics and microgravity before specializing, from the early 1990s, in the design, development and manufacturing of on-board and ground electronic equipment for aerospace applications.
The company's product portfolio spans four main areas. Imaging Systems covers compact space cameras and camera electronics, including the H2CS family of CubeSat cameras, the SMC deep-space monitoring camera flown on ESA's HERA mission, MOSS vision-based navigation systems, and video management/compression units flown on PRISMA, the ISS EML facility and multiple sounding rocket campaigns. Spacecraft Avionics includes the ARGO family of multi-camera star tracker systems, a fully redundant LEON3-based on-board computer, digital heater controllers, and CCSDS TM/TC and SpaceWire interface boards. Payload Electronics includes data processing and image compression units for missions such as PRISMA's hyperspectral instrument (SDAC), Solar Orbiter's SWA instrument, the ISS EML high-speed camera, and the Luna-25/Luna-Glob PILOT-D lander payload. Ground Segment products include EGSE/SCOE test equipment, command and telemetry ground stations, and interface bridge units supporting SpaceWire, CameraLink and Ethernet.
TSD-Space has supported missions for ESA, ASI, Airbus Defence and Space, SSC, Thales Alenia Space and other primes, with hardware flown on PRISMA, the ISS Columbus module, Solar Orbiter, HERA, FOTON, and multiple sounding rocket programs, and is currently developing payload electronics for the Eagle-1 quantum key distribution satellite and the IRIDE Earth observation constellation.
