About
TetraPLEX is a high-performance AI onboard processor for edge computing in space, developed in partnership with NVIDIA. It enables real-time, high-speed processing of satellite big-data AI models directly in orbit, reducing latency compared to traditional ground-downlink processing pipelines. Applications include onboard image classification, anomaly detection, and data compression before downlink. TetraPLEX was launched and demonstrated on SpaceX’s Transporter-11 rideshare mission in August 2024, validating its performance in the operational space environment.
