About
Stream is a Slovenian-designed ground control station located in Ljubljana, representing a next-generation LEO tracking ground station for broadband and multiband communications at frequencies up to 40 GHz. It was developed by SPACE-SI in response to the rise of small-satellite mega-constellations, including CubeSats, which require tracking large numbers of low-powered satellites producing fragmented, high-volume data streams. Stream complements SPACE-SI’s fixed Axyom ground station in the Primorska region as part of the centre’s satellite communication, command, control and data reception infrastructure supporting remote sensing, meteorology, astrophysics and new-technology development.
