About
SSTL-MINI is a highly capable and flexible minisatellite platform based on SSTL’s Core Avionics suite, with a bespoke structure customised to mission and payload requirements drawing on flight-proven options. It supports SSTL’s range of high-performance payloads, including very high resolution optical imagers and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payloads, plus secondary payloads for technology demonstration, radiation monitoring and AIS. The platform offers a fully redundant avionics suite, validated system FDIR, a wide range of propulsion options (cold gas xenon/butane, hydrazine, electric systems), and star tracker-based high stability AOCS. Example missions flown on the SSTL-MINI platform include DMC3/TripleSat, NovaSAR, S1-4 High Resolution Optical, and FORMOSAT-7.
