About
Nebo is a commercial, single-stage suborbital launch vehicle developed by SR Space for scientific missions such as meteorological research and testing of various systems at altitudes up to 120 km. It uses a single RD-1 liquid-propellant rocket engine burning oxygen and methane, built in an open-cycle layout and designed for reuse across several missions.
The first Nebo 25 test flight was conducted from the Kapustin Yar test site in December 2021, making SR Space the first private Russian company to carry out more than one launch in a single year. The payload fairing is manufactured from composite material produced in-house by SR Space.
