About
SQUINT is SpeQtral’s polarization-entangled photon pair quantum key distribution system designed and fully qualified for space deployment. The system comprises a proprietary quantum photon-pair source and a matching receiver module, each in a compact 1U CubeSat-compatible form factor, making it suitable for integration into small satellites and CubeSats.
With an entangled photon pair generation rate of up to 45 million pairs per second, SQUINT enables high-key-rate QKD links between space and ground. An optional software module allows the system to also serve as a quantum experiment test bed, supporting research and development missions alongside operational QKD services. Space qualification has been completed, confirming readiness for deployment. Targeted at satellite integrators, research institutions, and government agencies requiring a compact, space-proven quantum payload that can be added to existing missions.
