About
SpooQies are SpeQtral’s dedicated QKD satellite solutions designed for sovereign customers and large organizations requiring their own quantum key distribution infrastructure in orbit. Based on the flight-proven SpeQtral-1 satellite design, SpooQies can be delivered as a single dedicated satellite or as a custom constellation tailored to coverage and capacity requirements.
The satellites support both entanglement-based QKD (BBM92 protocol, using photon entanglement inherited from the SpooQy-1 heritage mission) and prepare-and-measure QKD payloads, enabling flexible cryptographic key generation and distribution to optical ground stations anywhere in the world. SpeQtral handles orbital delivery, simplifying procurement for customers building sovereign quantum-safe communications services. Targeted at government agencies, defense organizations, and enterprises requiring the highest assurance of communications security.
