About

TY45 (BUPT-2) and TY46 (BUPT-3), launched 17 May 2025 on Zhuque-2A, are the second batch of satellites in the Tiansuan Constellation, developed under the leadership of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and built by Spacety. Both satellites are equipped with 200 Gbps laser communication payloads (communication range 2,000 km), onboard space servers, computing units, and Kaufman electric propulsion systems, conducting in-orbit verification of 6G intelligent semantic communication, 6G space-based core network architecture, containerized on-board system reliability, high-speed space-to-ground data-link protocols, IP-based real-time audio/video QoS, IoT time-series database management, and energy-efficient thermally-aware satellite image processing. TY45 uses the Xingcheng-II argon ion thruster (specific impulse 1,600 s) developed by Xingcheng Huiyu (Beijing) Technology for precise orbital control and end-of-life deorbiting, in its third in-orbit ignition/maneuver/longevity test.
