About
The device’s task is to adjust the output 1 Hz signal timing to the 1 Hz signal of the navigation receiver so that the averaged position of the 1 Hz GNSS signal coincides with the 1 Hz bearing signal, and to keep the 1 Hz bearing signal in its current position in the absence of the 1 Hz navigation receiver signal. The device uses a highly stable (high short-term stability) crystal oscillator with a typical frequency of 10 MHz as its own time/frequency source. The adjustment depending on control voltage change is ±3×10-7, approximately 3 Hz; this frequency change to extreme positions relative to the real 10 MHz creates a lead or lag of the divided 1 Hz signal relative to the divided real 10 MHz, of 300 ns over a 1 s period. The averaged position of the navigation receiver’s 1 Hz signal can be taken as real 1 Hz. It is SPUTNIX’s own development, ECSS-compatible, low cost, light weight and low power, adapted to customer requirements, with unified interfaces.
