About
The Satellite Development Board is a prototyping platform implementing the standardized UNISEC Europe Satellite Bus, supporting all development phases via a FlatSat test environment of increasing complexity. A generic backplane with standardized connectors enables reconfiguration from single-subsystem prototyping to a flight-like full-satellite configuration, with dedicated connectors and switches for hardware-in-the-loop testing and access to power, control and digital communication signals. The CSID standard defines electrical and mechanical subsystem interfaces via a single-connector backplane, supporting redundant, regulated, and unregulated power buses along with I2C, USART, JTAG, SWD and other debug/test lines, overcoming limitations of legacy approaches around synchronization, redundancy, scalability and robustness. The Starter Kit ships complete with board, subsystem prototype, cables, and manual for immediate development, and doubles as electrical ground support equipment post-launch.
