About
The Regulation and Control Equipment (RCE), when working in conjunction with solar batteries (SB) and storage batteries, provides: on-board equipment (BE) with stabilized constant voltage of 27V; BE with unstabilized constant voltage (24-33)V; battery charging with limitation of maximum charging current and voltage depending on temperature; battery discharge with limitation of maximum discharge current and minimum voltage depending on temperature; telemetric control of power supply parameters and formation/delivery of information about their state; reception and execution of commands; electrical tests from ground and standard power sources. The RCE includes a set of chargers (several identical channels), a power cross-module with power switching units for unstabilized bus channels with load current limitation, a 27V voltage stabilizer with power switching for stabilized bus channels, and an RCE control system. Structurally the RCE is a monoblock made of modules, the number of which varies depending on average power consumed by the BE in shade/illumination and peak power; the upper peak power scaling limit for the regulated 27V rail is 1,500 W. The control system is universal, consisting of two microcontrollers operating in hot standby. The charger power line is tied to the solar panel area, using GaAs three-stage photoelectric converters, with variants ZU200 (200W, up to 0.5 m2), ZU300 (300W, 0.5-0.75 m2), ZU400 (400W, 0.75-1 m2), ZU600 (600W, 1-1.5 m2). The storage battery must have a voltage range of 24-33V, with capacity increased by adding parallel strings. Non-stabilized bus channels are separate, expandable modules. It is SPUTNIX’s own development compatible with ECSS recommendations, low cost, modular and scalable, with stabilized and unstabilized 27V power rails and unified interfaces.
