About
RapidCube-20 is a 16U, 20 kg CubeSat bus platform targeting in-orbit demonstration, Earth observation, IoT, and inter-satellite communication missions in sun-synchronous orbit at 400–500 km altitude. The failure-tolerant bus provides 5–10 kg of available payload mass in 5U–11U of payload volume, with 15–30 W average payload power. Attitude pointing is achieved to less than ±1° (option: ±0.1°) for determination and ±5° (option: ±0.5°) for pointing. The bus includes an S-band FDD link at 2.0/2.2 GHz supporting up to 100 kbps uplink and 2 Mbps downlink, plus an optional 8 GHz X-band data link at up to 100 Mbps. Design lifetime is two years.
