About
The OVS-1 is Orbita’s original video-imaging microsatellite for the Zhuhai-1 constellation, providing 1.98 m ground resolution video and still imagery from a 530 km orbit. Two OVS-1 satellites (OVS-1A and OVS-1B) were launched together in June 2017 on a CZ-4B rocket from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, inaugurating the Zhuhai-1 constellation. The platform captures short video clips of a target area at high frame rate for dynamic monitoring applications such as traffic, port, and infrastructure surveillance, in addition to conventional push-broom still imaging.
