About
The ISISPACE Deep Space Deployer (DSD) is an ESA-approved multi-staged separation system designed for deep space exploration missions. It uniquely enables health checks of satellites while exposed to space prior to release, ensuring payloads are fully operational before venturing into deep space.
The DSD features two key systems: a Configurable Release System (CRS) enabling precise, low-velocity deployments at 3 cm/s, and a Umbilical Disconnect System (UDS) that facilitates satellite communication and charging during transit to the deployment point.
Designed for 6UXL satellites, the DSD has been flight-proven on ESA’s Hera mission. The system provides a closed envelope of 272 x 156.7 x 432.4 mm and an open envelope of 272 x 206.77 x 555.05 mm, supporting payloads up to 12.5 kg.
