About
The high-power supply switching unit (PSU-h) is used to organize power distribution between onboard devices, providing switching of main and backup power lines according to commands from the onboard computer, organizing redundant CAN data lines, and organizing redundant second timestamp lines. It is suitable for integrating powerful devices into one power supply and data exchange network, reducing cable network volume and increasing connection reliability. Each of the 8 PSU-h channels has independent switching on/off control, adjustable overcurrent protection, and support for information exchange plus power switching. If more than 8 onboard devices are needed, multiple PSU-h units can be interconnected, each independently connectable to the power supply system. The PSU-h switch is designed per the ECSS-E-ST-20-20C standard. Consumer power is routed through two independent channels via different connector contacts, with current monitoring transferable to an external control device; one channel is primary, the other backup, and both are identical in their switching keys, current meters and control circuits. An arbitration scheme monitors the active control node’s health and activates the backup when the primary stops. The board of power switching channels has 16 switching channels for 8 terminal devices (separate main/backup bus switching), generating switch-on commands and collecting telemetry. Onboard equipment, including payloads, connects via a 25-pin Micro-D connector implementing 2 power lines, 2 common data-exchange bus lines, and 2 second-time-mark lines.
