About

Maritime Intelligence is HawkEye 360’s data and analytics product suite for unmasking non-cooperative vessels using space-based radio frequency signals intelligence. When vessels disable AIS, spoof their position, or falsify their identity to go dark, HawkEye 360’s satellite constellation detects and geolocates their RF emissions to close the resulting blind spots for naval and intelligence forces. The product suite combines several advanced analytics: Vessel Identification, which establishes vessel identity from unique RF signatures to recognize and track specific commercial vessels over time even when AIS data is missing or unreliable; Monitor High Interest Vessels, which detects and classifies select high-interest vessels via their RF emissions and differentiates commercial from government vessels; Vessel Velocity, which estimates speed and course to predict future position and support ISR data fusion; and Vessel Association, which distinguishes dark vessels from cooperative traffic and exposes potential AIS spoofing through automated RF/AIS correlation. Use cases include non-cooperative vessel detection based solely on radar emissions, AIS validation and deception exposure by cross-referencing RF behavior with AIS broadcasts, counter-spoofing, and monitoring of military and high-interest vessels across contested and high-traffic maritime theaters. The product is delivered as recurring, wide-area space-based coverage that augments traditional ISR methods limited by access, coverage, and reliance on voluntary AIS reporting.
