HawkEye 360 Communications Mapping

Communications Mapping exposes hidden communication networks by recurring detection and geolocation of push-to-talk (PTT) radios – including DMR and VHF/UHF variants – and mobile satellite phone communications, delivered globally to enhance situational awareness, track activity, and guide ISR operations. In areas that are physically inaccessible, politically restricted, or too costly for near-persistent airborne ISR, adversaries and illicit actors can otherwise operate with little risk of detection; HawkEye 360 reveals these transmissions from space, giving intelligence teams the visibility needed to monitor activity and map networks. The product suite detects, characterizes, and geolocates these signals to augment other sensing modalities, with broad-area collection able to uncover a substantial portion of communications signals in a single pass – work that might otherwise require many hours of airborne ISR. Highlights include accelerated decision-making through automatic detection/classification/geolocation, high-precision geolocation via tri-satellite collections and advanced processing, recurring wide-area coverage of costly or restricted regions, and optimized ISR tasking through high-confidence detections.
