About
The 3D PLUS 3DRC3508ES2861 Majority Voter is a 3-input, high-speed octal majority voter module providing built-in triple modular redundancy (TMR) for space applications. The device mitigates Single Event Effects (SEE) in radiation environments by performing majority voting on three 8-bit inputs, with an error signal output for system monitoring. Cold sparing capability allows the device to be powered off without affecting the bus.
The device operates across a wide supply voltage range of 1.65V to 5.5V with input voltages up to 5.5V at any Vcc, making it compatible with a broad range of logic families. Data rate reaches 100 Mbps with a propagation delay of 13 ns maximum at 3.3V. Operating temperature spans -55°C to +125°C in the SOP54 package.
Radiation characterization includes TID tolerance greater than 30 krad(Si), SEL LETth greater than 74.7 MeV.cm²/mg at +125°C, and SET LETth greater than 74.7 MeV.cm²/mg. The device is inherently immune to SET and SEL by design, and insensitive to SEU and MBU through the TMR architecture.
The Majority Voter is ideal for protecting critical data paths, processor buses, and control signals in space avionics where single event effects could cause mission-critical failures.
