About Wyrm Engineering

Wyrm Engineering is a space hardware company founded in 2016 by Scottish mechanical engineer Andrew Dunn, co-author of the PocketQube mechanical standard. The company designs and builds launch deployers, vibration test rigs and mechanical hardware for the pico- and nanosatellite market, with the aim of de-risking and speeding up the development of new space technologies.

Its flagship product is the Claymore 6P, a modular PocketQube deployer capable of dispensing up to 6P of PocketQube satellites, built with flight-proven release mechanisms and interfaces that meet the PocketQube mechanical standard. Wyrm Engineering also produces the VibePOD family of vibration test fixtures (1P, 1.5P, 2P and 3P configurations), which have already been used to qualify flight hardware such as AMSAT's EASAT-2 and FOSSASAT-1 for launch, including qualification to NASA GEVS7000 random-vibration standards.

Beyond hardware, Wyrm Engineering offers mechanical engineering consultancy to satellite and spacecraft teams, helping them navigate Technology Readiness Level maturation, develop test and assembly jigs, and access in-orbit demonstration opportunities via its own deployer hardware.

Wyrm Engineering is designed and built in the Netherlands, with a European-based supply chain, and is part of the ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Noordwijk startup programme.
