About Taoglas
Founded in 2004 in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland, Taoglas began with a single off-the-shelf GPS antenna and has grown into a global leader in RF antenna design and manufacturing. Milestones include the 2005 launch of the Hercules GPS antenna series, the opening of Ireland's first anechoic test chamber and first U.S. office in San Diego in 2010, and Taoglas's first company-owned factory in Tainan, Taiwan in 2017. Acquisitions of Firmwave in 2019 and SmartSensor in 2021 broadened custom IoT design and smart-sensing capabilities, and in February 2023 the company received a majority investment from US-based Graham Partners.
Today Taoglas operates eight facilities across Ireland, the United States, Taiwan, India, and Vietnam, serving over 20,000 customers in more than 100 countries with a portfolio of over 1,200 products and 120+ patents. While maintaining deep Irish engineering roots, it has grown into a global RF and connectivity supplier offering antennas, RF components, cables, connectors, and engineering services.
For the space industry, Taoglas designs multi-band, high-precision GNSS/GPS patch antennas covering L1/L2/L5/L-Band across GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou for centimeter-level positioning, plus satellite communication antennas for Iridium and other satellite IoT and non-terrestrial network links. Taoglas has also collaborated with the European Space Agency, using a rooftop GNSS test setup at its Dublin R&D facility to validate antenna performance for high-precision satellite positioning.
