About

The U7790 is a powerful professional satellite modem supporting the open standards DVB-S2X and DVB-RCS2 (EN 301 545-2-V1.2.1), enhanced with SpaceBridge’s proprietary return link optimized waveforms. It delivers direct remote-to-remote connectivity without requiring traffic to traverse the ESTELLA Core HUB, processing IP throughput of 100Mbps from either the HUB or a pool of 16 MESH carriers, with uplink/MESH capability of up to 25 Mbps per carrier. The modem integrates seamlessly within SpaceBridge’s multi-service ESTELLA Core environment for both Overlay MESH and Full MESH network topologies, and features simultaneous multi-carrier reception enabling regional hub functionality for Star-in-Star applications. Key features include a DVB-S2X forward link with highly granular MODCODs, low roll-off rates and Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM); dynamic return carrier creation via Dynamic Waveform Assignment (DWA); extended DVB-RCS2 return channels supporting SS-BPSK up to 64QAM in Star mode and SS-BPSK up to 16QAM in MESH mode; WaveSwitch return link waveforms for highest Dynamic SCPC efficiency; MESH remote-to-remote ACM for high resilience; and compatibility with most COTS BUCs. Applications include rural/USO cellular backhaul, small/medium enterprise and corporate connectivity, broadband access, rural Internet and online learning, retail/point-of-sale and digital signage, banking/ATM, and secure or terrestrial/wireless backup communications.
