About

The U7400-M is a telecommunication-grade VSAT satellite modem built for professional mesh network applications. It features a built-in mesh receiver enabling direct, one-hop mesh communications without routing traffic through a central hub, and is housed in an indoor 19-inch rack-mountable design for easy integration into existing network infrastructure. The modem supports both Layer-2 and Layer-3 networking and includes a built-in Performance Enhancing Proxy (PEP) to improve user experience and conserve satellite bandwidth. It offers encrypted VPN support with configurable traffic protection options and OpenAMIP antenna interface support for SATCOM on the Move (SOTM) applications. Typical use cases include enterprise connectivity, single-hop enterprise branch voice connectivity, video conferencing, and air-traffic control/radar applications.
