About
TRONE is a full-scale payload emulation platform for complex satellite missions, letting teams decouple platform and payload development and start integration earlier by emulating ICU and instrument behaviour before real payload hardware arrives. It supports configurations ranging from pure simulation to complete end-to-end payload behaviour with command handling and telemetry generation, rich standardized and configurable interfaces, power and fault injection, and an intuitive control GUI with an automation framework. CRUSOE is an entry-level, FPGA-based testing platform combining compact hardware with PC or cloud-based software for early-phase spacecraft development (breadboard and engineering model phases), supporting subsystem emulation, interface testing, and hardware-in-the-loop validation, with a smooth transition path to TRONE as system complexity grows. Both platforms are co-funded by the European Union through the Czech Republic’s Technology Agency (TACR) under the TREND Programme via the National Recovery Plan.
