About

HAPITH V is a cost-effective space launch system using cutting-edge, non-explosive hybrid rocket technologies. TiSPACE’s hybrid rocket engines deliver class-I rocket engine performance that enables fast turnaround space launch services, targeting micro and small satellites destined for low Earth orbit (LEO) and sun-synchronous orbit (SSO).

The vehicle is a three-stage rocket standing 20 meters tall with a 2.2 meter diameter. The first stage uses a cluster of five hybrid engines with liquid injection thrust vector control (LITVC) producing 650 kN of thrust. The second stage uses a cluster of four hybrid engines with gimbaled thrust vector control producing 80 kN of thrust. The upper stage uses a single hybrid engine with gimbaled TVC plus a cold-gas reaction control system, producing 10 kN of thrust.

Hapith V is powered by the LELIEN 1A hybrid rocket engine, designed around a high-efficiency N2O/SBR (nitrous oxide / solid-fuel binder-rubber) hybrid rocket propulsion technology. Hybrid propulsion allows TiSPACE to offer a non-explosive, more easily throttled and safer alternative to conventional solid or liquid rocket stages, while keeping manufacturing 100 percent sourced in Taiwan.

The vehicle can deliver a maximum payload mass of 390 kg to LEO or 350 kg to SSO, at target altitudes of 600-700 km.
