Hapith I
TiSPACE's first-generation hybrid-propulsion launch vehicle, flight-tested from Australia under the company's first international launch permit.
Description
Hapith I is TiSPACE's first-generation orbital-class launch vehicle, built on the company's non-explosive hybrid rocket propulsion technology. The vehicle stood on the launch pad ready for its maiden flight as part of TiSPACE's early campaign to prove out its hybrid engine and launch vehicle architecture ahead of the larger Hapith V design.
On 9 August 2021, TiSPACE received its first rocket launch permit from the Australian Government, allowing the Hapith I vehicle to be launched from Australia. This was a milestone for TiSPACE as one of Taiwan's earliest private orbital launch efforts, and it provided flight heritage feeding into the design and qualification of TiSPACE's follow-on Hapith V launch vehicle.
Detailed dimensional and performance specifications for Hapith I have not been published by TiSPACE; the vehicle shares the company's core hybrid rocket propulsion approach used across its launch vehicle family.
