About
The LPT6510 is a designed-for-manufacturability pulse-tube cryocooler developed by Thales Cryogenics in partnership with Absolut System, targeting both institutional and new-space programs. It is based on the Thales Cryogenics MPTC compressor, developed under ESA funding, combined with the Absolut System SSC80 pulse-tube cold finger. The compressor and cold finger both use an all-welded design, and manufacturing/assembly/integration/test (MAIT) procedures are streamlined to reduce complexity while still adhering to ECSS space standards. The LPT6510 is built as an integral product with a single mechanical and thermal interface, though a split configuration with cold finger and compressor in custom relative positions is available on request. It provides cost-effective cryo-cooling performance for detectors and instruments operating at 60 K and above.
