About

The TensorADCS series provides attitude determination and control systems for nanosatellites up to 30 kg. Each system incorporates one or more variable-speed, single-gimbal Control Moment Gyroscopes (CMGs) for attitude control and maneuvering. Available in configurations from 3U to 16U platforms, each system includes onboard attitude determination, automated operating modes, and user-configurable interfaces. Configurable systems are available to match specific mission requirements.

Operating modes — Basic (without CMG, magnetorquer control): Sun Pointing (maintains solar array orientation for power generation), Detumbling (stabilizes rotation after deployment or anomalies), Safe Mode (autonomous protection during spacecraft upsets). Advanced (CMG-enabled): Target Tracking (continuous pointing at ground targets during overflight), Fine Pointing (high-precision attitude hold for imaging or optical communications), Local-Vertical-Local-Horizontal (Earth-referenced nadir orientation for ground coverage).

Installation: available in integrated or discrete configurations. Integrated assembly mounts in the tuna-can, occupying 0.25U and maximizing internal payload volume. Discrete configurations allow separate installation of CMG, controller, and sensors within the satellite, occupying 0.75U total and providing flexible component positioning for non-standard layouts.

The TensorADCS-10m is the smallest member of the family, integrating a single CMG for 2-axis momentum control.
