About
The StenSat Radio Beacon is a small FM transmitter designed for satellites. It generates AX.25 Unnumbered Information (UI) packets at 1200 bps AFSK and 9600 bps FSK, with the 9600 bps FSK signal compatible with G3RUH modulation. RF output power is adjustable from 0 to 3 watts on a single 5 to 12 volt supply. The beacon has flown on several CubeSats as a low-cost, flight-proven telemetry downlink. Units are configured to customer specification: connector type (SMA or MCX, straight or right-angle), operating frequency, and call sign.
