Stara In-Space Compute

Stara offers an in-space compute capability as part of its infrastructure-as-a-service platform, allowing satellite operators to run compute models directly on Stara’s constellation rather than downlinking raw data for ground-based processing. This is positioned as an extension of Stara’s core space infrastructure as a service pitch: instead of investing in dedicated onboard processing hardware or waiting for full downlink windows, customers can offload compute workloads to the Stara network, reducing latency and the volume of raw data that needs to be relayed to Earth. The service is delivered on the same low-cost satellite hardware used for Stara’s data relay product, and is offered under the same affordable subscription model that underlies the company’s broader infrastructure business.
