Stara Distributed Data Storage

Stara provides distributed data storage at petabyte scale across its satellite network, letting customers store data in orbit as part of Stara’s broader infrastructure-as-a-service offering. Rather than requiring satellite operators to build dedicated storage payloads or manage their own downlink and archival pipelines, Stara’s constellation acts as a shared, subscription-based storage layer analogous to a cloud storage platform, but hosted in space. This is bundled with Stara’s relay and compute products so that data captured, processed, or relayed through the Stara network can also be retained on the constellation itself, reducing the need for customers to build parallel ground-based storage infrastructure for every satellite mission.
