About
Pridwen is Space Forge’s non-ablative, shuttlecock-shaped deployable heat shield designed to protect ForgeStar payloads during atmospheric reentry, allowing manufactured materials to be recovered intact rather than destroyed. The deployment mechanism was tested during a parabolic flight campaign in May 2025 and has since been used operationally on the ForgeStar-1 mission.
