About

The Spacecraft Design Toolbox (SDT), formerly known as the Spacecraft Control Toolbox, is PSS’s flagship MATLAB-based software product incorporating decades of spacecraft design experience. Engineers use it to design complete satellite systems including attitude control, thermal analysis, power budgets, orbit mechanics, and mass budgets. The SDT enables design of a GeoSat in approximately 6 days and supports modeling of reaction wheels, thrusters, CMGs, and magnetic torquers.

Key capabilities include CAD layout tools, disturbance analysis, coupled orbit/attitude simulation, thermal and power analysis, link budgets, and mission-critical mass/delta-V budgets. The toolbox ships with full MATLAB source code under a perpetual license with 90-day phone support and 1-year email support and updates. Classified as EAR99 (no export license required). Add-on modules include Optical Navigation, Solar Sail, Formation Flying, Interplanetary, Launch Vehicle, and Spin Axis Attitude Determination modules.
