About
The GeoMicroSat (GMS) is a compact geosynchronous satellite platform developed by Princeton Satellite Systems that is designed to be ITAR-free, enabling international sales and partnerships. The platform supports multi-vehicle formation flying with automated navigation and stationkeeping, making it suitable for high-capacity GEO constellations.
The GMS features a dry mass of 292 kg with 4.4 kW solar power and a 10-year design lifespan. Attitude control uses four reaction wheels combined with a star camera and MEMS IMU, while propulsion combines hydrazine thrusters for momentum dumping and East-West stationkeeping with Hall thrusters for North-South stationkeeping. Communications use C-band uplink/downlink with Ka-band cross-links for inter-satellite connectivity.
