About
The Slayton Space Communicator is Solstar’s broadband communications solution for space assets requiring high-speed internet, live video streaming, and large data downlinks. Designed for ISS-class space stations and orbital platforms, it provides 24/7 high-bandwidth two-way data relay supporting live video calls, HD streaming, rapid Earth observation data downlinks, and spacecraft-to-spacecraft communications.
Like the Deke, it integrates with commercial satellite constellations and is human-spaceflight-rated. The Slayton is ideal for crewed orbital missions, hosted payloads generating large datasets, and science experiments requiring near-real-time ground interaction. It builds on Solstar’s heritage from the world’s first commercial Wi-Fi demonstration in space (Blue Origin New Shepard, 2018) and the first commercial internet link at rocket velocity (UP Aerospace, 2019).
