About
The SSOC D60 (Sun Sensor on a Chip, Digital) is a digital fine sun sensor based on MEMS processes for highly accurate sun-tracking and attitude determination. It measures the incident angle of sunlight in two axes and includes an integrated microprocessor that directly provides sun light incident angles and their derivatives via digital interface — no external calculations required. Every sensor is calibrated and characterized with a look-up table. The metal shield and cover glass protect the optical eye against radiation ageing. The SSOC D60 supports ±45° or ±60° field-of-view configurations and is suitable for LEO, MEO and GEO missions.
