About
The SSOC A60 (Sun Sensor on a Chip) is an analog fine sun sensor based on MEMS fabrication processes that achieve highly integrated sensing structures for high-accuracy sun-tracking, positioning and attitude determination. The device measures the incident angle of sunlight in two axes; sensitivity is based on the geometrical dimensions of the chip design. Every sensor is individually calibrated and characterized, and a look-up table is provided. A metal shield and cover glass minimize sensor ageing under high radiation levels. Available in flight model (FM) and engineering model (EM). The SSOC A60 offers >100 krad radiation tolerance and is suitable for LEO, MEO and GEO missions.
