About
The ACSS (Advanced Coarse Sun Sensor) is a two-axis device for sun-tracking and attitude determination. It measures the incident angle of sunlight in two orthogonal axes and is designed for the highest reliability and radiation hardness for demanding LEO, MEO and GEO missions. ACSS technology has been flight-proven since 2019 with hundreds of flight units delivered; its manufacturing process has been industrialized for mass production. Both flight and engineering models are available. The ACSS is compatible with a wide supply voltage range (1.5–13 V) and is qualified to ECSS-E-ST-20-07C and MIL-STD-461F electromagnetic standards.
