About

The ACSS RH (Advanced Coarse Sun Sensor, Radiation Hardened) is the radiation-hardened variant of Solar MEMS’s flight-proven ACSS coarse sun sensor. It offers the highest reliability and radiation hardness for the most demanding LEO, MEO and GEO missions, tested to 200 krad (gamma) and 8×10¹¹ 10 MeV protons. The CSS technology has flight heritage since 2019 with hundreds of flight units delivered. The ACSS RH operates from a higher voltage supply (15–30 V) for compatibility with spacecraft power buses, and meets ECSS and MIL-STD-461F EMC standards. Endurance testing covers 600 thermal cycles (-55 to +105°C) and 2000 hours at 125°C.
