About

SpaceSight-X is Satrec Initiative’s flagship Earth observation satellite platform, delivering high-resolution optical imagery in panchromatic and multispectral bands from sun-synchronous orbit. The platform builds on SI’s unbroken lineage of Korean KITSAT heritage and two decades of satellite development, manufacturing, and operation experience.

SI has delivered SpaceSight-class platforms to international customers including DubaiSat-1 (2.5 m GSD, launched 2009), DubaiSat-2 (1 m GSD, launched 2013), and KhalifaSat (0.7 m GSD, launched 2018) for the UAE Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre; and Deimos-2 (75 cm GSD, launched 2014) for Spain’s Elecnor Deimos. Each successive platform demonstrates improved resolution and enhanced agility for area collection and multi-target imaging.

The SpaceSight-X series supports a range of application missions including infrastructure monitoring, urban planning, disaster response, agriculture, environmental monitoring, and defense. The platform can be delivered as a complete turnkey system including spacecraft, ground station, and operations support, or as spacecraft bus and payload integration for customers maintaining their own ground infrastructure. SI offers technology transfer and knowledge sharing programs tailored for national space agency customers establishing their domestic satellite capability.
