About
Hyperfield-2 is Kuva Space’s next-generation hyperspectral microsatellite, currently in development with a planned 2026 launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9. At 70 kg, it is significantly larger than the Hyperfield-1 CubeSat and carries an expanded payload: a patented hyperspectral camera covering 450-1,650 nm at 15 m resolution, paired with a companion RGB camera (3.6 megapixel ground sample distance). Hyperfield-2 is designed to expand Kuva Space’s planned constellation toward its goal of 100 satellites by 2030 for sub-daily global hyperspectral Earth observation.
