About

The Titan Bare Module (model B-006-110-342) is Ascent Solar’s flagship space-grade photovoltaic building block, manufactured using copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) thin-film technology on a flexible polyimide substrate. At approximately one square foot in size and just 8–10 grams in mass, it delivers over 16 W at a specific power of 2100 W/kg — dramatically outperforming traditional crystalline silicon (100–400 W/kg) and matching gallium arsenide at a fraction of the cost.

The Titan module is produced via a monolithic roll-to-roll manufacturing process and is available in two sizes — Titan Full (336 × 289 mm) and Titan Mid (336 × 247 mm). It supports the Plug & Fly integration approach — arriving pre-integrated and pre-tested. The module retains partial power generation if penetrated by micrometeorites or orbital debris, improving on-orbit survivability. Voltage is customizable from 20 V to 270 V.
