About
The TR1000 is a complete RF satellite transceiver system built on Arralis’ space-qualified Leonis GaAs MMIC portfolio, allowing spacecraft designers a fast, reliable, and cost-effective means of implementing high data-rate Ka-band satellite communications payloads. The module enables direct interface with a modem or Software Defined Radio (SDR) and provides TX at 17-21 GHz and RX at 27-31 GHz, with IF ports spanning 1-5 GHz on both paths.
The transmitter incorporates an output monitoring function that enables precise amplitude stability when coupled with external pre-distortion or gain control systems, maximizing achievable data rates. RF outputs and inputs are standard waveguide flanges for high reliability and low-loss antenna connections, while additional channels can be added in both transmit and receive paths to accommodate specific customer requirements.
The TR1000 targets LEO satellite constellation payloads and small satellite missions where a compact, integrated RF front-end is needed. Its architecture is expandable and SDR-compatible, making it suitable for a wide range of high-speed space communications applications including IoT, 5G backhaul, and direct-to-orbit connectivity.
