About

The AIS-ILIS0 is a PocketQube-class ionic liquid electrospray thruster using EMI-Im (1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide) ionic liquid propellant. Operating at less than 1W of power, it produces approximately 1uN of thrust in an ultra-compact 44x40x16mm form factor compatible with PocketQube satellites. The ILIS0 represents AIS’s entry-level flight-class ionic liquid electrospray system, with total impulse, ISP, and orbital movement data pending development completion. Electrospray thrusters offer extremely high specific impulse compared to other propulsion types at this power level. Status: IN DEVELOPMENT.
