SpaceFields’ aerospike rocket engine is documented mainly via press coverage rather than a dedicated product page. Multiple news outlets reported in September 2024 that SpaceFields, an IISc-incubated startup based in Bengaluru, successfully hot-tested India’s first aerospike rocket engine, following an earlier 2023 unveiling of the engine concept. Aerospike engines maintain efficiency across a range of altitudes, a property associated with lowering the cost of space launch. No technical specifications (thrust, Isp, chamber pressure, burn duration) have been published by SpaceFields itself.
