About

The AAC SpaceQuest MAG-3 is a space-qualified three-axis magnetometer designed for spacecraft attitude determination and control. By measuring Earth’s magnetic field in three orthogonal axes, the MAG-3 provides attitude data for satellite ADCS (Attitude Determination and Control System) algorithms.

The MAG-3 is typically used in conjunction with magnetorquers for a simple, low-cost ADCS solution in LEO. It can also augment star trackers and sun sensors in more sophisticated pointing systems. Its compact design integrates directly into CubeSat and SmallSat platforms.

AAC SpaceQuest has supplied the MAG-3 for numerous CubeSat missions worldwide. Its reliability and ease of integration have made it a trusted component in the small satellite ecosystem. Space qualified for LEO radiation and thermal environments.
