About
The MTQ800 is a high-torque 3-axis magnetorquer from AAC Hyperion designed for small satellite attitude control. It generates controllable magnetic dipole moments about three orthogonal axes by driving current through air-core or ferromagnetic-core coils. Used for detumbling after launch, attitude maintenance, and reaction wheel momentum dumping, the MTQ800 is suitable for CubeSats from 3U up to larger small satellites. It interfaces with ADCS processors via I2C or analog control signals.
