CENTAURI
Free-space optical (laser) wireless communication terminal delivering fiber-grade point-to-point links up to 10 Gbps without spectrum licensing.
Description
CENTAURI is Transcelestial's flagship free-space optical communication (FSOC) terminal, providing wireless laser links that match fiber-grade performance without the cost and time of laying physical cable. Each unit forms a full-duplex point-to-point link over line-of-sight distances from 200 m up to 3 km and beyond, and can be installed in under 4 hours per link with no spectrum licensing or right-of-way approvals required.
CENTAURI uses a patented AI-based tracking and telemetry system that continuously adjusts beam alignment and laser power in near-real-time, maintaining link performance through rain, fog, pole sway and vibration. Because it transmits on a narrow laser beam in the ~200 THz optical band rather than RF/mmWave spectrum, the link is inherently resistant to interception, jamming and spectrum congestion. Typical applications include 4G/5G fronthaul and backhaul, large-campus connectivity, last-mile ISP expansion, and dark-fiber alternatives for enterprise and data-centre links.
