Debris Detection Using Star Trackers — software enabling Sagitta to detect space debris objects as small as 3 cm without losing attitude determination.
Description
DeDUST (Debris Detection Using Star Trackers) is arcsec's technology that leverages the Sagitta star tracker to contribute to space debris monitoring. Without losing the primary attitude determination functionality, DeDUST enables detection of objects as small as 3 cm in orbit, helping missions contribute to keeping orbits safe and clean. The technology has been successfully tested on-ground and a demonstration video is available. DeDUST is supported by the European Investment Council through the EIC Accelerator program. Operators interested in using DeDUST-enabled star trackers or purchasing DeDUST data can contact arcsec directly.
