Vega-C Payload Fairing

Beyond Gravity (formerly RUAG Space, rebranded in 2022) designs and manufactures payload fairings for European launch vehicles. For Vega-C, Beyond Gravity delivers the 2.6-metre diameter composite fairing that protects satellites during atmospheric ascent. The fairing is made from carbon-fibre composite panels over an aluminium honeycomb core, providing high stiffness-to-mass ratio and precise acoustic environment protection. Beyond Gravity has supplied payload fairings for Vega, Vega-C, Ariane 5 (2.7m and 4.1m diameter), and Ariane 6 launch vehicles. In addition to fairings, Beyond Gravity produces satellite structures, reaction control systems, electronics, and propellant tanks for both commercial and governmental missions. The company has facilities in Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, and the US.
